A superb Gothic revival clock. The structure made out of cast iron, the clock face from panels of white glass, in parts repaired with white perspex but in no way whatsoever does it detract from the overall impact of the piece. Dating to the early to mid 19th century, this clock would most likely have been on a church tower or town hall. With its huge proportions it is an incredibly decorative piece to be placed against a wall or hung. A wonderful piece of architectural salvage.

Condition: three smaller white glass panels missing as can be seen in the photographs. Over the years the clock face has been repaired and restored which adds to its charm

Dimensions: 162cm diameter, 10cm deep at the maximum including protrusion of rear bolt and clock hands
