A pair of "Deva" earrings by Hermes, France, circa 2010

£275.00

A pair of “Deva“ earrings manufactured by Hermes, France. Aside from the elegant stud at the back, the earrings have been entirely carved out of wood and then lacquered, giving a lovely warm colour. In the original box, they would make a wonderful gift as they are presented in “as new” condition.

The Deva range is a range of costume jewellery designed and retailed by Hermes, displaying a characteristic “circled H“. The range is realised entirely out of coloured lacquered wood and/or buffalo horn, so no two pieces are identical, each one with unique variations to the horn. The period of production span inly two years, from 2010 to 2012.

Hermes barely needs any introduction: it is probably the most famous firm in the world known principally for its workmanship of leather goods of the highest quality. The French luxury goods manufacturer established in 1837 specialises in leather goods, lifestyle accessories, home furnishings, perfumery, jewellery, watches and ready-to-wear items. It has had a string of notable designers over the years, including household names like Jean-Paul Gaultier.

Condition: as new. Production of Hermes is carried out in France across 52 sites, organised into regional hubs. This network is completed with twelve manufactures in other countries, located in Switzerland, Italy, the UK, the USA, Vietnam and Australia, hence the “Made in Vietman“ stamp to the back.
