A superb antique Victorian burr tea caddy or trinket box in Empire Revival Style with elaborate decorative pierced cut brass mounts, circa 1860 in date. The interior is fitted with two lift-out covers revealing two compartments which used to be for storing tea to be blended as the user wished but can now be used simply to store small everyday items. An extremely decorative object which will make a statement once placed on any period desk.
