An extremely rare and original design drawing of the world renowned and much loved Concorde Aircraft. Concorde memorabilia is becoming more and more sought after. This is a chance to own a piece of aeronautic history. Concorde was the first supersonic passenger aeroplane and almost certainly the only one we will see in our lifetime. No other passenger aircraft has captured the public’s imagination like the Concorde did with only a small exclusive number of people privileged enough to have taken to the skies in one. It was a program that cost £ 1.3 billion at the time (about £ 8 billion in today’s money) and was in operation until 2003.

This is an original drawing from the program harking back to an era when moon landings and supersonic passenger flights were realised without the aid of supercomputers and digital technology was in its infancy. It can almost be felt by looking at these drawings how primitive the technology was and what a great achievement these projects were. This particular drawing was originally auctioned off in the 1990s in Sotheby’s and authenticated by Brian Trubshaw, CBE, who was a leading test pilot and the first British pilot to fly Concorde, in April 1969.

Today these drawings are not just decorative. They would embellish any room and capture people’s hearts and interest with one look. A wonderful way to embellish any home, board room or office space for anyone with a genuine interest in aeronautics, engineering or quite simply to own a token piece of our social history.
