An iconic Brides de Gala silk scarf by Hermès Paris, featuring the house’s celebrated equestrian bridle motif. The design showcases two richly detailed ceremonial bridles adorned with ornate gold hardware, crests, medallions, and sculptural elements, set against a refined ivory ground with deep green border. The intricate illustration highlights Hermès’ heritage in fine saddlery and craftsmanship, with baroque-inspired detailing and elegant symmetry.
Designed in 1957 by Hugo Grygkar, Brides de Gala remains one of Hermès’ most recognizable and enduring carré designs. This version in green and gold offers a sophisticated and timeless palette, perfect for styling at the neck, as a headscarf, or framed as decorative art. Crafted from 100% silk twill with hand-rolled edges, made in France.
Condition: very good vintage condition. The silk remains vibrant and crisp with light signs of wear consistent with age. Minor creasing visible from folding and storage. No obvious stains or significant flaws noted. Please refer to photographs.
