This Mid-Century Modern teak “Tristor” metamorphic coffee table by A.H. McIntosh of Kirkcaldy beautifully marries form and function. Crafted in warm, richly grained teak, one side conceals a drinks cabinet (complete with bottle racks and glassware storage). It features a cleverly engineered rotating and fold-out top leaf. With a simple movement, the leaf swings and unfolds to double the table’s surface area, transforming the piece from an intimate coffee table into a spacious occasional table ideal for entertaining or serving. The table’s clean lines, tapered legs, and flawless teak finish showcase the elegance and innovation that defined 1960s furniture design.
