A vintage brass and smoked glass drinks trolley, Italy, circa 1960
A polished brass and smoked-glass serving cart with an open architectural frame and two practical tiers. The slender rectangular structure is formed from continuous rounded brass rails, rising at either end to create integrated handles. Warm bronze-tinted glass panels sit within slim metal surrounds, while raised galleries help keep bottles and glassware secure when the cart is moved.
The upper level provides a generous serving surface for decanters, cocktail accessories and drinks, with the lower shelf offering further storage. Two fitted bottle holders are incorporated at one end of the base, keeping spirits or wine neatly upright. Small spherical castors complete the design, allowing the trolley to be moved between a living room, dining area or home bar. The combination of reflective brass, smoked glass and softly curved corners gives the piece a refined midcentury character without unnecessary ornament.
