A vintage glass-topped coffee table with gold antelope skull and horn base designed by Dikran Khoubesserian for Fondica. Dikran Khoubesserian (1913-1991) was born into an Armenian family in Mersina, Turkey. At the age of ten he was sent to Paris where he studied from 1923-1930 at St. Barbe high school. He continued his studies at the school of civil engineering, graduating in 1933 with a degree in engineering and architecture. In 1950, he began studying sculpture at the Grande Chaumière Academy in Paris. Around 1952 he relocated permanently to France where he concentrated on working with bronze. In 1961, Dikran became a full-time sculptor. He presented his work at exhibitions and various galleries until the end of the 1980s. Fondica is a well known French foundry which started in the 1960s and used by many well known sculptors.

Condition: some oxidisation to the brass, otherwise perfect
