A floral floor lamp in painted metal, Italy, 1970s
A decorative Italian floor lamp dating to the 1970s, designed in the form of stylised flowering stems. Three slender, textured metal stems rise organically from a shaped base, each terminating in a tulip-like bloom that gently opens to reveal the light source within.
The flowers are finished in deep, rich tones with subtle red and bronze hues, creating a warm and atmospheric glow when illuminated. The sculptural base is painted to simulate natural foliage, complete with green leaves gathered at the stem and secured with a decorative band, enhancing the botanical illusion.
This piece reflects the romantic, nature-inspired aesthetic popular in Italian design during the 1970s, where lighting often doubled as functional sculpture. Both whimsical and elegant, it makes a striking accent piece while providing soft ambient light.
Condition: good vintage condition with age-related wear and minor paint loss consistent with use. Fully functional. Please refer to photographs.
Dimensions: 160cm high, 50cm diameter
