A spherical Murano glass table lamp featuring opaline white internal glass petal forms captured inside a clear outer globe, presented on a polished chrome base. The language is sculptural and botanical at the same time, and the lamp reads like a luminous glass object even before illumination. Decorative value is high because the object feels like an art piece rather than a technical lighting proposal, and the chrome base adds a clean modern material counterpoint which anchors the glass volume well on cabinetry, sideboards and plinths.

1980s Murano glasswork explored a great deal of this internal form within form approach, and the level of hand control here shows the skill of the glassmakers in both the opaline shaping and the clarity of the outer layer.
