A teak sideboard, England, circa 1960s
A beautiful English sideboard made in the middle part of the 20th century. Realised entirely in teak wood as was very fashionable in the 1960s these sideboards have had a resurgence in popularity in the modern era as mid century furniture takes pride of place, mixing the new with the vintage. This unusual model has two grains of teak which have been used at ninety degrees from each other giving a beautiful contrast, the legs so typically 1960s and the light wood colour brings life into any interior. A lovely compact size, measuring just XXXXcm wide, it would fit into any modern property adding a little retro chic to the room.
Condition: good overall vintage condition, only very minor scrapes, please refer to photographs
