An Omega Genève Dynamic automatic wristwatch, Switzerland, circa 1970

An Omega Genève Dynamic automatic wristwatch, Switzerland, circa 1970
A striking Omega Genève Dynamic automatic wristwatch, dating from the late 1960s to early 1970s, a period when Omega introduced some of its most innovative and modern designs. The Dynamic line was created with ergonomics in mind, featuring the distinctive oval-shaped case that sits comfortably on the wrist.
This example features a gold-plated case framing a bold, graphic dial with contrasting blue and gold tones. The dial design is typical of the Dynamic series, with a segmented chapter ring and a darker central field signed Omega Automatic and Genève Dynamic. A day-date aperture is positioned at 3 o’clock, while the bright red seconds hand adds a vibrant accent to the overall design.
The watch is fitted with a black perforated leather strap, echoing the sporty aesthetic often associated with the Dynamic range. The combination of strong colour contrasts, unconventional case shape, and bold dial layout makes this model a classic representation of Omega’s late-1960s design experimentation. A highly collectible Omega model, appreciated for its distinctive design and its place in the brand’s forward-thinking Dynamic series.
Condition: good vintage condition with light wear to the gold-plated case consistent with age. Dial remains clear and attractive. Original strap. Please refer to photographs.
Case dimensions: 41mm wide, 36mm high
