A silk carré “Bride de Cour” by Françoise de la Perrière for Hermès, France, late 20th century

£395.00

A refined Hermès silk carré titled Bride de Cour (“Court Bridle”), designed by Françoise de la Perrière, one of the most celebrated designers associated with Hermès. First issued in 1970, this design has become a cornerstone of Hermès’ equestrian repertoire and has been reissued in numerous colourways.

The composition centres on an elaborate ceremonial horse bridle, richly detailed with tassels, medallions, and finely worked leather straps, rendered in warm gold tones. The motif is framed by an elegant border of chains, ropes, and buckles, enclosing a decorative field with subtle scrolling ornament. This example is presented in a particularly fresh and desirable palette, with a pale mint green ground contrasted by gold, ivory, and soft grey detailing, lending the piece a light and sophisticated appearance.

Printed on Hermès’ signature silk twill, the scarf offers a luxurious hand and crisp definition of line. The edges are hand-rolled and hand-stitched, demonstrating the high level of craftsmanship for which Hermès is renowned.

A highly collectible Hermès design, prized for its elegant equestrian theme and authorship by Françoise de la Perrière. A timeless carré, equally suited for wear or as part of a curated collection.

Condition: excellent condition with minimal signs of wear. The silk retains its sheen and structure, and the colours remain vibrant. No obvious marks or pulls visible.
