A stylish Cartier folding travel clock, dating from circa 1990.

The clock is housed within a black leather-covered folding case, designed to open into a freestanding easel form for use on a bedside table or desk and to fold flat for travelling. The circular gilt bezel surrounds a classic Cartier silvered dial with black Roman numerals, minute track, gilt dot hour markers and black hands, signed Cartier.

The gilt metal case back is signed Cartier and further marked “Swiss Movement”, “Perfect Swiss”, “Argenté France” and numbered 060.

Accompanied by its original Cartier Paris red presentation case, decorated with gilt borders and fitted with a cream silk-lined interior.

A particularly elegant example of Cartier's luxury travel accessories, combining the house's instantly recognisable Roman-numeral dial with a discreet and practical folding design.
