Cartier Pasha perpetual calendar desk clock, circa 1989
An exceptional Cartier Pasha perpetual calendar desk clock, Swiss made, dating from circa 1989.
The substantial circular case is finished in gold plate, with the distinctive Pasha design incorporating dark blue lacquered or enamelled architectural supports and a broad bezel with stylised Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9 and 12.
The silvered dial features blued hands and subsidiary indications for the day of the week, date and 24-hour display, together with an aperture displaying the phases of the moon. The combination forms a sophisticated perpetual calendar arrangement characteristic of Cartier's high-end horological production of the period.
The reverse reveals the movement and individual cabochon-set adjusters for the calendar functions, together with Cartier signature and reference markings. Numbered 8913 00021 and marked "Swiss Made".
Accompanied by its original Cartier Paris fitted red presentation case and associated Cartier booklets and papers, making this a particularly complete and desirable example.
