A striking Italian dry bar cabinet dating from the 1960s, raised on a refined, slender stand. The front features an exceptional sculptural woven wood façade composed of individually shaped blocks, creating a rich three-dimensional checkerboard effect with beautiful variation in tone and grain.
The cabinet opens to reveal a thoughtfully fitted interior: two drawers to the left, a central open compartment, and multiple bottle shelves with metal retaining rails on the right-hand side. Two pull-out serving slides extend from beneath the cabinet, offering practical surface space for mixing and serving drinks. The warm interior wood contrasts elegantly with the darker outer frame and stand, showcasing fine Italian craftsmanship and attention to detail.
A highly decorative yet functional statement piece, ideal as a bar cabinet, drinks cabinet, or accent storage in a mid-century or contemporary interior.
Condition: very good vintage condition. Light age-related wear consistent with use, including minor surface marks and small imperfections to the veneer.
