£795.00

A striking chrome and glass floor lamp designed by Mazzega in Venice, Italy, circa 1970. This sculptural piece features three hand-blown glass diffusers that graduate from opalescent white to clear with a subtle touch of orange, creating a soft and atmospheric glow when lit. Each diffuser is mounted on a polished chrome stem, and uniquely surrounded by circular wooden rings that orbit the glass like planetary halos, giving the lamp a strong space age aesthetic.

The addition of these wooden elements (unusual for Mazzega and rarely seen in this context) adds warmth and an unexpected organic contrast to the otherwise sleek, futuristic design. The lamp is operated by two switches that allow the user to control the illumination flexibly, choosing to light one, two, or all three globes depending on the mood or setting.

This is a rare and imaginative piece that brings together the bold experimentation of 1970s Italian lighting with a playful yet refined sense of form. It would make a statement in any interior, from mid-century modern to contemporary eclectic.
