A striking Fornasetti table lamp, produced in Italy during the late twentieth century by Antonangeli under licence from Fornasetti. The lamp takes the form of a tall cylindrical shade decorated in monochrome with an intricate architectural panorama depicting a fantastical Italian hill town. Rising above the densely packed buildings is one of Fornasetti's celebrated anthropomorphic suns, its serene classical face surrounded by radiating rays that illuminate the landscape below. Executed entirely in black and white, the finely detailed illustration recalls Renaissance engravings and architectural etchings, themes that frequently inspired Fornasetti throughout his career.

When illuminated, the translucent shade emits a soft, atmospheric glow that enhances the intricate linework while transforming the printed decoration into a dramatic illuminated artwork.
