A superb pair of ‘Kashima’ sofas designed by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset, France, during the 1970s.

The Kashima is one of Ducaroy’s distinctive all-foam designs of the period, conceived without a conventional timber frame and characterised by its exceptionally low, enveloping form. The deeply gathered upholstery follows the sculpted foam structure, creating the generous rounded seat, curved back and broad, relaxed arms characteristic of the model.

This pair retain their wonderfully informal, almost sculptural appearance and are upholstered in a soft dusty-pink fabric.

Condition: in good vintage condition with wear and marks to the upholstery consistent with age and use. Please refer to photographs.
