A stylish travelling cocktail or drinks set dating from the Art Deco period, circa 1930.

The cylindrical black leather carrying case opens to reveal a fitted red interior containing a compact silver-plated drinks set. The central stacking arrangement incorporates drinking vessels together with various containers and fittings for preparing and serving drinks while travelling.

Sets of this type were fashionable accessories during the interwar period, particularly for motoring, picnics and sporting excursions, combining ingenious space-saving design with the elegance associated with 1920s and 1930s cocktail culture.

Complete with its fitted cylindrical leather case and carrying strap.

Condition: in good antique condition with wear, marks and patination consistent with age and use, particularly to the leather case and strap. Please refer to photographs.
