A classic Louis Vuitton suitcase, made in France circa 1970 and covered throughout in the house’s iconic Monogram canvas.
Of traditional rectangular form, the case is finished with tan leather edging and a substantial leather carrying handle, together with brass corner protectors, central lock and additional brass hardware. The combination of Monogram canvas, natural leather and brass fittings gives the case the instantly recognisable appearance associated with Louis Vuitton’s historic travel luggage.
The case opens to reveal a cream-coloured fitted interior with retaining straps and compartments for securing clothing and personal effects during travel. The interior retains its original Louis Vuitton label.
A handsome and highly decorative example of vintage Louis Vuitton luggage, equally suited to a collection or for use as an interior design piece.
Condition: in good vintage condition with surface wear, scuffs, marks and discolouration consistent with age and use. The leather and brass fittings have developed an attractive patina, with expected wear and marks to the interior. Please refer to photographs.
