A mid-century wood and glass drinks trolley, Italy, circa 1960
An unusual Italian drinks trolley dating from the 1960s, with a sculptural red-stained wood frame and elegant crossed supports characteristic of mid-century design.
The rectangular upper serving tier is inset with clear glass, while the lower section is cleverly divided into two distinct compartments: a slatted bottle rack to one side and an angled magazine rack to the other.
Raised on four original-style metal castors for ease of movement, the combination of serving surface, bottle storage and magazine rack makes this a particularly practical and characterful example of Italian bar furniture of the period.
Condition: good vintage condition with surface wear, scratches and marks consistent with age and use. The glass insert has a small chip approximately 2–3 mm deep. Please refer to the photographs for further details of condition.
